I have been a Reader since 1987 and before that was involved with Junior Church for many years. Perhaps my greatest claim to fame was in writing and producing pantomimes when I was once referred to by a child as "the grey haired lady who shouts a lot"! I am much calmer now! Margery |
I have lived in Walmersley for most of my life and have worshipped at Christ Church since I was 4 years old. In the past I have been involved in Guiding, Scouting and a Junior Church leader. Following a call to ministry I became a Licensed Reader in 1997. Since 2008 when I retired from work as a Biomedical Scientist I have been able to spend more time re-modelling the garden to make it more pensioner friendly. This allows us to spend more time with our family and serving Jesus. Barbara |
PAM COWIE READER EMERITUS |
NIGEL SILVESTER AUTHORISED LAY MINISTER EMERITUS |

|
Pam serves mainly at St John with St Mark but we welcome her warmly when she "ventures north". |
I have been an Authorised Lay Minister since 2011. During my years at CCW I have been involved in many areas of church life including PCC Secretary, Treasurer and Church Waden. I now concentrate on assisting in the leading of worship. I am married to Barbara and we have a large (and growing) family. We both support the Mighty Shakers (Bury FC). Nigel |
