At the end of March 2024 the whole school came together at Christ Church to celebrate Easter, supported by more than 90 younger siblings, parents, grandparents, carers and church members.
Choirs and even Reception made contributions, whilst Y6 pupils told the Easter story and spoke of some Easter traditions, including hot cross buns.
Songs for the whole school included Easter Jubilation with its chorus:
Oh! Raise a joyful shout!
Clap your hands and dance - let your feelings out.
Oh! Hear what it's about,
Christ the Lord has come to set us free!
whilst it was impossible not to join in the chorus of Risen:
Risen! Risen! Jesus is Risen!
The Spirit was given - Jesus is alive!
The previous week pupils from Y4 joined us for Experience Easter which was an opportunity to explore the events of Holy Week in an interactive way.
Six areas reflected on Palm Sunday, Jesus washing the feet of the disciples, the Last Supper, in the Garden of Gethsemane, at the foot of the Cross and the Resurrection.
