A brand new style of worship here in Walmersley
Lots of flames at the first CAMPFIRE CHURCH in September, where we focussed on "thankfulness"!
In OCTOBER we heard (and enacted) the parable of the sower, sowed seeds to take home
and toasted bread on the campfire or rolled dough around sticks to make dampers
- there was even butter and jam!
Some lively singing too.
and the seeds took root and grew - as one person has shared here:
In NOVEMBER we explored 'light' - with light sticks - and
enjoyed decorating biscuits with bright, colourful icing,
each fire-shaped biscuit a reminder of how we can shine God’s love into the world.
On 16 DECEMBER we shall think about the Birth of Jesus
