THANK YOU

to Dave for circulating a service especially written for this Easter morning so we could all share in a spiritual communion today.

The order of service is here

Also to Geoff and Tricia for recording the hymn (included in this service) written especially for this Easter by Carolyn Wiinfrey Gillette. You can find all Geoff's recordings which are now public on YouTube by searching Geoff Stokes Hymns.

Grateful thanks to
a member of our parish

who has lovingly created these sachets,
which we have been able to distribute
to some of our ladies.

Vicar Dave and Linda, his wife have today, with the help of sandwich packs being donated, been able to make up a total of 45 meal bags for the homeless in Manchester and Bury.

At present everyone is at risk. But the homeless have been a bit forgotten. They are still on the streets and the kindness they received from the public and cafes providing them with a hot drink and a bite to eat and a friendly face to chat is no longer there. The Corona virus has caused so much harm and devastation. But with everyone pulling together and helping each other we will beat it.

God Bless them, and keep them safe.

Bury Muslim Christian Forum have been able to donate money to those who were helping the homeless last week. They donated £200 to the homeless via the Bed for the Night scheme at the bottom of Walmersley Road and £100 to Caritas Bury Red Door Scheme which functions out of what was St Joseph's Presbytery near the bottom of Walmersley Road.
